Holy Lamb Organic Body Pillow 2015 Review

I thought it was hard to get pillows made of pure wool. Then I got my hands on Holy Lamb Organic Body Pillow. All I can say is: well, I have never seen anything like this before.

These pillows are so cozy that you would find it hard to let go of them – really! In a way, they do make you lazier, haha, but would you really blame the poor pillows for that?

Holy Lamb Organic Body Pillow

Well, here are some of my observations about these pillows based on my through research and personal experience:

a) Holy Lamb Organic Body pillows are made with 100% organic wool. No chemical additives are added during its processing or afterward.

It only contains a little amount of lanolin which helps rather than hurts. If you are allergic to chemical-based wool products, then you should definitely get a pair of these organic pillows for a change.

b) These pillows are great for anyone who needs full body support. They are especially well suitable for women who are pregnant.

c) These pillows help to relax your body utterly and completely. Not only your head, even your heart, shoulders and hips would thank you for buying them.

Holy Lamb Organic Body Pillow

Sometimes I wonder if wool could be so soft as if to give the feeling of a bird’s feather. Believe it or not, my earlier pillows used to give me backaches as well as aches around my hips and head.

However, when I started using these comfortable pillows those aches started getting healed slowly on their own. No more aches, thank goodness!

This particular benefit in turn helps me sleep longer. From four hours my sleep time has extended to 7 hours. Yikes, I guess I could blame those naughty pillows for that! Like I said, they do make you lazy.

d) These pillows are so soft that you will get a warm and fuzzy feeling inside if you just hug them, like I do when I feel very lonely and want to hug someone badly.

e) I had purchased these soft pillows from Amazon.com on a whim. The shipping was quite fast…in fact, I got them much faster than expected.

The bad side: well, to be honest, the Holy Lamb Organic Body Pillow are a bit pricey. Given the quality of the material offered, though, I would like to say that the price is about right. Quality comes at a price, but then again, I can understand if the prices are a tad out of range for some people.

All in all, I definitely recommend that you try out these pillows if you can. Whether you are pregnant or suffer from any kind of body ache (joint pain, headaches) I can tell you from my own experience that these pillows are the answer to your problems.

The pricing should not be a factor when it comes to your own health issues, would it? Hey, they are still cheaper than a good doctor’s consultation fee, I think.

Even if you find your existing pillows okay, I would guarantee that the kind of comfort you would be getting from these pillows would be an unreal experience for you.

The kind of soothing feeling I get from these pillows every night is simply – PRICELESS! If you are still on the fence about buying these pillows, I would suggest that you order the free kit from the manufacturer. That should allay your suspicions, if any.

Leachco Back ‘N Belly Contoured Body Pillow Review

The Leachco Back ‘N Belly Contoured Body Pillow is an excellent choice for expectant moms who are looking for a good night’s sleep.

As a Certified Nurse Midwife the biggest complaint that I hear from my patients is that they don’t sleep well at night and it seems to get worse the further along they are.

Most pregnant women have a hard time sleeping at night because as they get bigger it gets harder to get comfortable. Others complain that they wake up with muscle aches, mainly back and hip pain.

Still others have a problem sleeping due to acid reflux. The Leachco Back ‘N Belly Contoured Body Pillow helps solve all of those problems.

Leachco Back ‘N Belly Contoured Body Pillow

The unique shape of the Back ‘N Belly pillow helps expectant mothers get comfortable at night because it allows them to snuggle down into the pillow for maximum comfort, plus gives them the comfort they need to sleep on either their side or back.

The pillow is also helpful for getting a good night’s rest because it provides pregnant women with all of the support that they need, both back and belly support.

The pillow also relieves acid reflux because it helps keep your head propped up, and you can throw an extra pillow underneath the head section of the pillow to increase the elevation.

Pros of Leachco Back ‘N Belly Contoured Body Pillow:

Shape of the pillow. The unique shape of the Leachco Back ‘N Belly Contoured Body Pillow helps provide expectant mothers with a good night’s rest no matter what position they sleep in.

Moms who flip back and forth at night find the unique shape to be comforting because no matter what way they turn they have the same support for their back and belly.

The shape of the pillow helps to keep your hips elevated so that they are in a natural position, which is what helps relieve any joint pain due to less stress being placed on the joints at night.

Not to mention the small wings located on the inside of the pillow help to support the belly throughout the entire pregnancy.

Leachco Back ‘N Belly Contoured Body Pillow Review

Soft cover. One of the biggest problems with pregnancy pillows and their covers is the material used to make the pillow. Most covers that come with the pillows are rough, so they are irritating to sensitive skin.

The Back ‘N Belly pillow comes with a cover that is made from cotton, so it is not scratchy. The cover also comes off so you can easily wash it when it gets dirty.

Great support. One of the hardest parts about sleeping while pregnant is getting used to the expanding belly, but waking up with a sore back is probably the worst.

While all pregnancy pillows claim to offer you amazing support I have found some to be too soft, while others are too firm. The stuffing inside this pillow is just right for the support that most women need throughout their pregnancy.

The pillow is firm enough to support the lower back while sleeping, but can also support the head to help reduce acid reflux.

Multiple Uses. The pillow can also be used for a variety of purposes, so it can be used long after the baby is born. During pregnancy, it makes a great sleeping tool for going to bed either at night or catching a nap.

The pillow can also be used during nursing because it provides great support for baby, as well as a backrest for mom. Others have even used the pillow for propping themselves up in bed while wreathing TV.

Cons:

Cover is hard to get on. One of the worst things about the pillow is trying to get the cover back on after washing it. The cover comes off easily enough, but doesn’t go back on that well.

It is possible to get it on, but it is a bit of a struggle. One of the best things to do to help reduce how often the cover has to be washed is to cut off the end of an old pillowcase.

After cutting off the end place the pillowcase onto the pillow where you lay your head, remove this section regularly to wash it.

Seams dig into shoulder. The seams along the pillow dig into the shoulder while trying to sleep. With how firm the pillow is it seems that the stuffing is straining against the seams.

Moving the stuffing inside the pillow doesn’t help to reduce the pressure, but taking the outer cover off does seem to help. Making a new cover out of different material can also help mask the pressure of the seams.

The best thing about the Leachco Back ‘N Belly Contoured Body Pillow is that the benefits it provides really outweighs the negatives.

The pillow provides the best support for the back and belly, which allows pregnant moms to get the rest they need.

For moms looking for some kind of pain relief, as well as relief from acid reflux this pillow is perhaps the best investment they can make.

Serenity Star Pillow – Transitional Body Maternity Pillow Review

The Serenity Star Pillow Transitional Body Maternity Pillow is made by Moonlight Slumber. This pillow comes in three different sections to provide maximum comfort and support.

In addition to this, the three-part pillow is designed to be used from pregnancy through preschool, so moms find it useful far after baby is born.

When using the pillow as a sleep aid during pregnancy all three pieces of the pillow are designed to fit together simply by using a custom-made pillowcase. The pillowcase then comes off so the pillow can be used with baby even as baby grows.

Serenity Star Body-Maternity Pillow

During pregnancy the pillow is the perfect sleeping aid because it allows mom to sleep on her side, which is the position most recommended by gynecologists.

Sleeping on the side, preferably the left side is recommended for the baby’s health, but side sleeping also helps keep mom cool at night while she is sleeping, as well as comfortable.

Once baby is born, the pillow can be used to support baby while nursing, but can also be taken apart to help baby develop. For example, the curved section of the pillow is perfect for helping baby sit up.

Pros of Serenity Star Pillow:

Provides great support. Getting comfortable at night is the hardest task when pregnant. As a Certified Nurse Midwife, I highly recommend using the Serenity Star Pillow for the entire pregnancy.

The U-shaped pillow contours to the body to provide maximum support, but is also very comfortable. The U-shaped design ensures support on both sides, which is helpful for expectant mothers who like to switch sides.

Using the pillow ensures that mom wakes up each morning feeling refreshed, as well as pain free.

Pillow grows with the expanding family. Pregnancy pillows are quite expensive when compared to other pillows; so many women have a hard time spending the money on them.

Serenity Star Body-Maternity Pillow

The Serenity Star Pillow is worth the extra money because it can be used long after baby is born. The pillow starts off as the perfect sleeping aid for expectant mothers, and then turns into a nursing pillow as soon as baby is born.

As baby continues to grow, the pillow comes apart to form bolstering pillows. The curved section of the pillow can be used to help support baby as they are learning to sit up, while the two longer sides can be used to help prevent baby from rolling too far.

Can be custom ordered. One problem that women have with a pregnancy pillow is the pillow being either too long or too short; this is especially cumbersome if they are looking for a pillow that supports their feet.

Most women I work with find it uncomfortable to have their feet hanging off the end of the pillow; they would rather have them supported by the pillow.

The Serenity Star Pillow can be custom ordered so it is the perfect length for supporting the feet.

Feels like one solid pillow. Once the cover is taken off the pillow, it breaks down into three different parts, which I thought would be noticeable when it was all put together.

However, when the pillowcase is put on the pillow so it forms the u-shaped pregnancy pillow there is no noticeable difference, one cannot tell that the pillow has three separate parts.

This is perhaps due to the superior design of the pillowcase, which ensures that all parts remain snug to each other so that they don’t separate during use.

Cons:

Serenity Star Body-Maternity Pillow

No choice of pillowcase covers. Perhaps the biggest drawback to this pillow is the lack of pillowcases; there are two other choices aside from white.

However, this problem can easily be resolved by making or having a friend make an extra pillowcase with fabric that matches your bedroom. Three separate cases can be made or one full body case, depending on current use.

The Serenity Star Pillow Transitional Body Maternity Pillow is one of the pricier pregnancy pillows, but so worth the extra money.

The pillow is designed to provide expectant mothers with a good night’s sleep, as well as help alleviate any hip pain by keeping the body properly aligned.

The higher price is also validated by how long the pillow can be used, which is well into baby’s toddler years.

Comfort-U Total Body Pillow Full Support Pillow Review

While the Comfort-U Total Body Pillow Full Support Pillow was not originally designed as a pregnancy pillow, it is still one of the best pregnancy pillows available in the market.

The Comfort-U was designed by a nurse who had been diagnosed with fibromyalgia due to her chronic joint and muscle pain.

This nurse wanted a pillow that would provide her full body support no matter what she was doing. This pillow works so well at providing both comfort and support that I routinely recommend it to all expectant mothers that I work with.

Comfort U Total Body Support Pillow

The Comfort-U pillow has a unique horseshoe shape that allows it to provide full body support, all people have to do is curl up inside the middle of the pillow.

How this works is that the horseshoe shape cradles the entire body, no matter what position it is in, so the body gets maximum support to help relive any stress on the joints.

The pillow also keeps the body in perfect alignment to give users a pain free night of sleep so they wake up in the morning feeling refreshed.

Pros:

* Horseshoe Shape. The unique shape of the pillow is what allows it to be so comfortable, while providing the body with the support it needs.

No matter what position a person sleeps in the pillow will be there to support them due to its wrap around feature, which is amazing for people that like to switch from one side to the other during the night.

* Support it provides is amazing. Being pregnant it is very hard to get to sleep at night because of the numerous aches and pains, but also finding a way to get comfortable.

The Comfort-U provides pregnant women with the best sleep possible because of the support it provides. The pillow is not too soft nor is too firm, most people find it to be just right to cushion the body while supporting the back and belly.

* Option to purchase other pillowcases. Most pregnancy pillows come with a removable cover, but they are usually white and not offered in other colors.

The Comfort-U comes with the option to purchase extra pillowcases in a variety of colors. This allows people to match the pillowcase to the color of sheets that they are using or choosing a darker color that doesn’t show dirt as fast.

* Works in all types of beds. No matter what size bed is being used, the Comfort-U pillow will fit in the bed. Pregnant women sleeping alone in a single bed won’t have to worry about falling out of bed due to how much room the pillow takes up.

Women sharing a king or queen sized bed with a partner will find that the pillow fits in the bed with both them and their partners, the partners often end up enjoying it more than the expectant moms.

Comfort U Total Body Support Pillow

Cons:

* Stitching along zipper seam. The stitching along the zipper seam is a bit fragile, most of my clients’ state that after the first washing it begins to fray. However, even though it looks like it might fall apart, it holds up really well; just make sure that the zipper is closed when washing the pillow.

Keeping the zipper closed will prevent further fraying if it has already started, but will also help prevent it from happening.

The Comfort-U pillow is a great pregnancy pillow, one I highly recommend to my expectant mothers. The pillow helps provide the right amount of support for the body no matter what position it is in.

With the Comfort-U pillow, there is no need to line the bed with pillows, it is there no matter how much tossing and turning is done at night.

Leachco Snoogle Total Body Pillow Review

For any of the expecting mothers that are looking for a comfortable pillow to support them and their belly while sleeping I recommend the Leachco Snoogle Total Body Pillow.

The unique curved shape gives the entire body support rather than just the back or belly, which means expectant moms get a good night’s rest.

Most expectant mothers find themselves using four or five different pillows at night just to get the support that they need to sleep well, with the Leachco Snoogle Total Body Pillow they can get rid of most of those extra pillows.

The unique design of this pillow provides expectant mothers with a good night’s sleep because the shape follows the natural shape of the body.

Leachco Snoogle Total Body Pillow

What this means is that sleeping with the pillow the entire body is lined up. The top of the pillow is designed to support the head and neck, while the longer body of the pillow along with the curve at the end allows moms to tuck the pillow between their legs to help ease back pain, as well as staying cool at night.

Not only does the pillow provide amazing support, it can also help provide relief for other problems during pregnancy, such as acid reflux.

The Leachco Snoogle Total Body Pillow can help relieve acid reflux because it allows the upper half of the body to rest in a slightly inclined position rather than flat, which can also help moms to breathe better at night.

Another reason that I recommend this pillow is because it can be used long after the pregnancy has ended.

Once the baby is born, moms can use the pillow while nursing because its unique shape provides the support that baby needs. It also makes a great backrest when sitting in bed and watching television.

Leachco Snoogle Total Body Pillow Video Review

Pros:

Curves on top and bottom. The curves at both the top and bottom provide this body pillow with its unique shape. The curves at both ends are what provide the support that pregnant women need while sleeping.

For side sleepers the pillow provides great support for the head, neck, and knees. For back sleepers the pillow surrounds the body to form a type of cradle.

No matter what position expectant moms sleep in the curves at both ends allow you to wake up feeling refreshed.

Long lasting. Not all body pillows or even regular pillows will last for a long period of time. This pillow is one of the exceptions to that rule.

After several months of use, all of the women that I have recommended this pillow to state that it is like sleeping with a new pillow every night. The pillow even after several months is still firm and provides plenty of support.

Removable cover. Not all pregnancy pillows come with a removable cover; some of them require you to pay extra for a cover.

This one comes with a cover that is easy to take off and machine washable. Being able to wash the cover of the pillow as needed is great, especially when using it for supporting baby while nursing.

Can be used while sleeping in different ways. Many pregnancy pillows that I have seen are designed to be used one way only when sleeping, meaning they only fit one way on the body.

The Snoogle can be used to support the belly or the back. Moms who need the extra support for their belly can place the long section of the pillow in front of their body so the belly can rest atop the pillow.

For those that are looking for extra back support the long section of pillow can be placed along the back for that extra support.

No matter which way the long section is placed the head and legs get the support required from the top and bottom curves.

Cons:

Cover is itchy. While the removable cover is nice for being able to wash the pillow the material used on it could be better. I have found the material to be rather rough, which pregnant women often have sensitive skin.

What I recommend for an easy fix is to make your own pillowcase out of a softer material or purchase a special pillowcase from softer material that is made from softer fabric.

Not helpful for people who toss and turn. Most pregnant women find it hard to sleep at night, so they end up tossing and turning half the night.

Even with a pregnancy pillow, some women still have a hard time getting comfortable or they just like to change positions.

This pillow is rather awkward to turn over with and doesn’t provide the support on both sides like other pillows do.

To solve this problem what I recommend is placing a regular pillow on the other side of you, so you can easily turn over and get the support you need.

Leachco Snoogle Total Body Pillows

The Leachco Snoogle Total Body Pillow is a great pregnancy pillow and one that I highly recommend it and Certified Midwife said it is one of the maternity pillow in the market.

The pillow is designed to provide an expectant mom’s body with the support she needs, while also doing a bit extra. The sooner you get the pillow the better you will be able to sleep at night.

Today’s Mom Cozy Comfort Pregnancy Pillow Review

The Today’s Mom Cozy Comfort Pregnancy Pillow is perhaps the most comfortable maternity pillow available for pregnant women.
As a Certified Midwife, I highly recommend this pillow to any expectant mom who is having a hard time sleeping at night. The best part about this pillow is that it can also be used once the baby is born.

One of the best features this pillow offers is support. The Cozy Comfort Pregnancy Pillow provides excellent back and belly support for expectant mothers because of its nice inner curve.

How this pillow works is by cradling all of the natural curves of the body to help keep mom comfortable while she sleeps. The Cozy Comfort Pillow also offers back support for mom, as well as supporting the baby while mom is nursing.

.

.

One of the biggest complaints I get from expectant mothers is how hard it is to get comfortable enough to go to sleep during pregnancy no position seems to work.

The Cozy Comfort Pillow goes from the shoulder down to the legs, so the whole body is supported, not just the back and belly.

Offering a full-length pillow for mom to use during pregnancy is nice because it keeps the entire body comfortable during a very uncomfortable time.

Pros:

* Shoulder Support. One of the biggest problems that pregnancy pillows have is a hard edge in the shoulder area. When mom is sleeping, this edge tends to dig into their shoulder. I recommend the Cozy Comfort Pillow to all of my expecting moms because it doesn’t have that hard edge.

The Cozy Comfort Pillow has a curved design at the shoulder area to help support the shoulder, the pillow fits itself to the shoulder rather than digging in.

* Full size pillow. Some pillows make it hard for pregnant women to sleep comfortable all night because the pillow is too small. This pillow is a full pillow, which gives moms body all the support it needs.

The pillow is soft enough to mold itself to mom’s unique body shape, but firm enough to offer full body support. As an added bonus, the pillow wraps all around the body, so even turning over you still get the amazing support.

* Relives body pain. One problem that pregnant women have is all sorts of body pain, but mainly hip and back pain. The Cozy Comfort Pillow helps relieve all of that pain, so that when mom wakes up in the morning she feels great. The pillow works to relieve hip and back pain by providing proper support for the body.

The pillow provides everything that expectant moms need to sleep well; all they have to do is fit themselves in the keyhole opening.

* Cover is removable. Some expectant moms that I work with have bought body pillows, as a way to help sleep at night, but the problem with those pillows is they were not washable.

The Cozy Comfort Pillow comes with a removable cover. Being able to take the cover off the pillow allows you to wash it when needed, so the pillow stays clean and fresh.

Cons:

* Too Big. For smaller women this pillow is rather big, some find themselves drowning in the pillow, but most women love how the pillow fits.

The pillow is big enough to take up half of a queen-sized bed, but if you look on the bright side, it keeps your partner off your side of the bed to help you sleep even better at night.

* Rough Cover. Some women have complained to me that the cover is rather rough. While the material on the cover is not the softest material once you have laid down and fallen asleep you don’t really notice it.

If you do have sensitive skin, your best bet is to get a sheet or some kind of pillowcase to place around the pillow where it touches your skin.

The Today’s Mom Cozy Comfort Pregnancy Pillow is one of the best choices on the market. The full size pillow offers expectant moms the comfort and support that they need to get a good night’s rest.

In addition to all of the comfort and support you get the pillow is offered at a reasonable price.

Best Maternity Pillow for Pregnant Mom

Back pain is common for women to experience while pregnant. Weight gain combined with shifting proportions is a major contributor to this back pain.

Many expectant mothers employ body type pillows as the primary means of comfort against the pain. Many different styles are available to choose from.

Types of maternity pillow

Maternity Pillow

Simple – The simple style pregnancy pillow actually is made of two standard-sized pillows attached lengthwise. It is used by placing under the back on one side to prevent the woman from lying on the back flat.

Full Length – This Pregnancy Maternity pillow can measure between 5 and 6 feet in length. It can support either the front or back or be wrapped around to relieve back pain as well as pressure.

Wedge – This type of pillow looks like the name implies and may be positioned under the front or back to reduce pressure on either side of her body.

Bean-Shaped – The bean-shaped pillow has adjustable straps at each end. One end is placed at the back while the opposite end is positioned at the stomach. The straps attach to keep the pillow in place.

Maternity pillows are only meant to relieve pressure and offer some comfort during pregnancy. The will not completely rid a pregnant woman of back pain.

If pain in the back causes a loss in sleep, it should be discussed with your physician to discuss possible options in treatment.

Tips for Choosing the best maternity pillow

Maternity Pillow

Having a Maternity or pregnancy pillow in every stage of pregnancy can greatly increase a woman’s quality of rest, health and comfort and it is a very necessary prenatal accessory.

Sleeping on the left side while slightly bending the knees is highly recommended in order to increase the oxygen flow the baby receives.

When you are pregnant, any sleeping position is uncomfortable after some time. Head pillows may provide some support, but pregnancy pillows have been specially designed to accommodate and support the pregnant body.

Identify areas of the body experiencing the most stress. Every woman has a unique pregnancy experience with her own set of discomforts and aches.

The design of Maternity pillow provides the alleviation of stress anywhere but especially the back and hips. The design that best suits your needs will address the areas of the most pain.

Know the variety available. maternity pillow are found in various styles including full body pillows made of memory foam, small pillows made to be used at specific pressure points like the back or hip and wedge pillows made to offer support for the ever growing belly.

Bean-shaped maternity pillow wrap around the mid-section to support the back and belly at the same time.

Talk to other mothers. Don’t be afraid to ask other women for advice. Someone who has been pregnant recently or currently can be your best source of information.

Your mother has a lot of information to give but may not be aware of the many innovations that have been made in the area of maternal products.

Use any information you can get as a guide but only you know how your body is reacting and feeling. Interpret advice through a personal filter.

Read product reviews. There are many magazines and websites devoted to the pregnant woman. They routinely review the multitude of products on the market geared toward the expectant parent.

These are usually pretty objective and can tell you about new trends and innovations available.

Give one or many a try. You can’t judge a maternity pillow with your hands. Most stores will give you the opportunity to lie down and try them out.

This is a very important prenatal purchase so do not be timid. Take some time and completely test them to see which feels most comfortable.

Try sleeping in a different position. It may be difficult for someone who is accustomed to sleeping on their back or stomach to adjust to a new sleeping position of a pregnant woman.

It is recommended to begin sleeping on one side as early in the pregnancy as possible. A pregnancy pillow can help you with the adjustment long before you begin to show or really have no choice.

Pregnancy pillows aren’t cheap. The comfort and relief they offer during the most awkward period of your life should be worth the expense.

Maternity pillows also are useful after the baby’s birth for the mother’s recuperation as well as for cradling and nursing the newborn. It is important to invest in a quality pillow that is durable and can continue to be used in the future.

Our research shows that doctors recommend women start using a maternity pillow around the fourth month. At first it doesn’t seem to make much of a difference and the expecting mother has a bit of buyer’s remorse.

But by the seventh month rest assured she will not sell her pregnancy pillow for any amount of money!

Our research also reveals that many women by month six who don’t use a pregnancy pillow will have tremendous pain in their hips when they get up in the morning. A quality pregnancy pillow will solve this issue and many more.

If your conducting research and you’re the expecting grandparent, a pregnancy pillow will make a wonderful gift for the expecting mother.

Find a Pregnancy Pillow that Fits You

4 Types of pregnancy pillows

Pregnancy pillows as most things are not the same quality, made of different materials and they come in a few different designs. Maternity Pillows are manufactured with different purposes in mind.

You should buy a pillow according to your specific needs, height and the way you sleep. Buy a pregnancy pillow carefully to ensure you get your money’s worth by solving your sleeping needs.

There are generally 4 types of pregnancy pillows, the C shape, the J shape, the U Shaped and the Wedge. Here are the following pregnancy pillows we found most popular with a complete review:

C Shaped Pregnancy Pillows:

C Shaped Pregnancy Pillows

A C shaped maternity pillow is the most common because of low price points. Providing support for the woman’s head and shoulders at the top of the C, support for the legs at the bottom of the C and room for the baby in the opening makes for a basic pillow. Click on the links below for our full review:

  • Snoogle Pregnancy Pillow

J Shaped Pillow

A J shaped pillow is the believed to give the least support to the woman and while marketed as a pregnancy pillow it is believed to be more of a body pillow. Since they are curved only at one end they don’t actually provide support needed by pregnant women.

U Shaped Pregnancy Pillow

Comfort U Total Body Support Pillow

The U shaped pregnancy pillow is believed by a lot of pregnant woman to be the best because it offers support to the back and the belly at the same time.

The cool thing about this pillow is that a woman can sleep on either side while her head is supported to battle heart burn common in pregnant women.

  • Comfort U Maternity Pillow
  • Cozy Comfort Pregnancy Pillow

The Wedge Shaped Maternity Pillow

Wedge Shaped Maternity Pillow

The Wedge shaped pregnancy pillow is normally not used by many pregnant women as a stand alone product. The primary reason is because they don’t offer any support for the head and back.

Most women use this type of pregnancy pillow in conjunction with other pregnancy pillows for additional support.

Shopping for anything specific is difficult when in a department store because the store doesn’t provide information about each product to help you the consumer make an informed decision.

We hope you have found our reviews of different types of pregnancy pillows helpful.

What exactly is the toddler pillow, and what are its benefits?

This is simple to understand; the child’s pillow which gives him/her the right support and comfort while sleeping is a toddler pillow.

Lots of people do not know that toddlers grow while sleeping, hence their pillow and bed should be chosen carefully with deep interest.

Generally, these pillows are small, soft and of low profile, they are created in a way to give right amount of support to the baby. In addition to this, a toddler’s pillow will also help to shape the head of the baby.

Even doctors suggest that the pillows help to protect the child from allergies, cold and ear infections too.

There has been an increasing demand from parents of little kids, hence the pillow companies are coming up with a wide range of toddler pillows made of different styles, different materials, different features, and of course of varied price range. Parents need to be choosy while picking up a right kind of pillow for their kids.

What is the right age to use a toddler pillow?

Taking care of a child involves lot of work including feeding at right time and at right intervals, using high quality products, knowing when is the baby hungry or when he needs a sleep, knowing whether the baby needs a blanket or not, and many other things.

All these things have to be taken care of by the mother. There are some signs by which the mother can know that the right time has come when the baby would need a toddler pillow.

When the baby is facing discomfort during nights or is unable to sleep, then mothers can try placing a toddler pillow under its head.

However, this is not fixed for every child, as each one has its own timelines for growth and no one other than a mother can understand it.

Basically, toddlers of 1 to 2 years of age can start using a pillow or when the baby has been moved from the crib, the toddler bed and toddler pillow can be used.

How to pick up a right toddler pillow for your kid?

There is wide variety of options to choose from when it comes to toddler pillows, and the characteristics of each pillow are different. However, mothers need to concentrate on few features in order to give their babies a good night’s sleep.

First, understand the needs of your child and then think which kind of pillow will give him utmost comfort. The priority should be your child’s requirements only, rest comes later.

What kind of material should be chosen?

Consider two important things for choosing the material of a toddler pillow, the first one is it should be made of natural fabric, and next is it should be soft. Cotton is always a preferable material of mothers, and many of them opt for it.

What pillow size should be chosen?

The size includes length, width and height of the pillow. The common size is 12 by 18 inches and the height should be minimum.

People normally go for one inch height, which is actually the right height for a toddler. Too low or too high pillow can harm the neck and head of the baby.

What is the price of a toddler pillow?

Baby care at toddler’s stage is very important, and during this time price should be given the last priority. However, parents know better and they choose pillows of 15$ range or can also check out the ones which are of 60$.

Do you know about a safe pillow?
